lijstje: 5 food books

Vijf boeken over de geschiedenis van ons voedsel die op de het lijstje komen van nog te lezen. althans die 4 die ik nog niet ken. Het lijstje kwam gisteren binnen via Twitter en is opgesteld door Louise Fresco:

1. Cuisine and Empire: cooking in world history van Rachel Laudan
2. The raw and the cooked van Claude Levi-Strauss
3. 1493: Uncovering the New World Columbus Created van Charles Mann
4. All Manners of Food: eating and taste in England and France from the Middle Ages to the present van Stephen Mennell
5. Sweetness and Power: the place of sugar in Modern history van Sidney Mintz. 

Overigens komt het van een interessante website die tal van auteurs lijstjes laten maken met 5 boeken. Ik pikte zo ook nog op:
